How many times a day do you hear: “Can I have a drink mum”? I have lost count! Encouraging children to drink more water can be a difficult task at times. They want the yummy tasting drinks, not the boring old water.
Keeping hydrated is important, but a lot of the time it is not water that they want as their first choice.
How many times have you had to run the opposite way with your child in the supermarket because they have blurted out something that that has embarrassed you or made you very uncomfortable in front of someone else? Let’s talk about teaching children kindness.
Children at times can be very blunt and straightforward with their words (also read: savage). Although to them, they do not know any different. They are not always aware that what they are saying could be hurtful or unkind to someone else.
